Even this year I brought my husband to the “restaurant” for his birthday: “crostini di polenta” (polenta croutons), homemade trofie, trifle as dessert!

The sauce of the trofie is a great choice for the cold season: mushrooms, bacon, arugula and some fontina cheese.

For the croutons I followed the recipe from Giallo Zafferano, and I made some with prosciutto and fontina cheese and some with stracchino and bratwurst.
